The name "Squividan" refers to a stretch of beach a few kilometers long between the towns of Guilvinec and Lesconil. The name has a number of alternate spellings, including "Skividen," although you should not rely on signs to find your way there. Squividan is not a designated nude beach, but it is less crowded than parts of the beach closer to the nearby towns, and a custom of tolerance for nudity has developed since this beach is a bit removed from the crowds. However, textiles always outnumber nudists. The part of the beach best for nudity is to the east of the pinpointed parking area (to the left when facing the water). Nudity should not take place beyond the pinpointed outcropping. The next beach over, which abuts the village of Lesconil, is textile only. Be advised that Squividan may be overcrowded with textiles during July and August and that nudity is not firmly rooted here compared to many other beaches in Brittany. If you wish to feel secure among a nudist majority, this beach probably is not the best choice.
