The beach is located on the western side of the Es Trucadors peninsula. With its’ fabulous soft white and sometimes pink coral tinged sand, this has to be the most beautiful beach on the island. It has long been one of the Balearic Islands’ best kept secrets that it is a well established nudist beach. However, over the past few decades Formentera has become better known and the influx of tourists has resulted in a massive increase in the number of textiles. Nudism is still accepted anywhere on the beach but, in practice, you have to be pretty bold to bare all at the southern end which is now overwhelmingly textile. Nudist numbers increase the further north you go along the peninsula and there are several smaller beaches between the rocks where nudists may be in the majority. Unfortunately as you go north it gets rockier and the sand, though still amazing, isn’t quite as good. Do visit, you won’t be disappointed and it will help prevent a complete textile takeover.
