This is an especially beautiful beach and is generally considered one of the nicest nude beaches of Atlantic France, particularly for the quality of its sand.

Walking about 400 meters north from the parking lot brings you to the nude beach. As Sauveterre is considered the premier gay beach of Vendée, there is a substantial gay crowd beyond the initial crowd of nudists. Nudity is possible for quite a distance toward the next beach access near Les Granges.

The 300-space parking lot often fills up on summer weekends, but there is additional parking along the access road, and once you are on the beach there is plenty of room.
