Calanque means "rocky inlet," and the area between Marseille and Cassis is the heart of the Calanques, an incredibly scenic area of fjords.

Pierres Tombées is a calanque where nudists gather. The crowd is more mixed than at gay-popular Plage du Mont Rose to the west, and the trek here is well worth it just for the scenery.

Access to Pierres Tombées is by going to Calanque de Sugiton, a popular hike that leaves from Luminy university. Once you get to Sugiton, Pierres Tombées is the next cove to the east. While most of the hike is easy, the final descent requires more agility.
