El Dorado is a rustic hot springs spa located on 8.7 acres in the low desert west of Phoenix. Opened in the late 90's, it has gradually been developed it into a desert oasis over the past decade. El Dorado has several outdoor soaking pools which are filled with natural hot mineral water from the spring. Cloth screens above the pools protect against the extreme desert heat. There are areas for sunbathing. Clothing is optional everywhere, and there are a few cabins for overnight stays along with RV accommodations. Day-use soaking rates begin at $7.50 for one hour. Soaking is available from 9 am until 9 pm.
