Orvis Hot Springs is a commercial facility open to the public for day use. (There are also six rooms for overnight stays, and there is a small camping area as well.) Facilities include a large outdoor hot springs pond and two smaller outdoor soaking ponds, a large indoor soaking pool, an outdoor hot tub with extremely hot water (from a natural spring; the temperature is not altered), a sauna and several small indoor soaking tubs in rooms that can be locked.

Although Orvis promotes itself as a clothing-optional resort, nudity is not completely unrestricted. Nudity is allowed within the large fenced yard that includes all the outdoor soaking pools and the sauna. The indoor soaking tubs are clothing optional since they are private. However, the large indoor soaking pool, which is accessed from a separate entry, is for textile bathers, and the owners request that patrons at least wear a towel in the hallway of the building where the private pools and changing room are located. The camping area is not clothing optional.

Practically all visitors opt not to wear swimsuits. Current rates are $14 per person for day use with no time limit, and visitors are allowed to leave and return later during the day. The surrounding mountain views are spectacular.
