Sierra Hot Springs is a soaking facility that is a non-profit retreat and workshop center located about 40 miles north of Lake Tahoe. There are indoor and outdoor soaking pools, two cold plunges and a sauna. Overnight accommodation are available in a lodge with 5 rooms and a dormitory, and camping is also available. Clothing is optional everywhere, except in view of the road. The day-use rate for 3 hours of soaking is $15, with a $5 monthly or $20 yearly membership fee required. Reservations are not required for day visits.
