South Canyon Spring is a natural hot spring. Water is piped into a shallow pool with concrete sides and a squishy dirt bottom. The pool can hold about six or eight people. The water is often murky and full of algae. Nudity is customary, and nude sunbathing is not out of the ordinary in the area behind the spring. Depending on when you visit, you may be in the company of several other nudists or you may have the place to yourself.

South Canyon Spring has long been a subject of controversy with locals. There have at times been efforts to abolish nudity here, but things have been quiet for a decade or so, and as far as we know the threat of anti-nudity enforcement seems minimal.
