The regatta facility in Oberschleißheim, the once artificially created Regattaparksee (not to be confused with the adjacent regatta course) is unofficial but still worth a visit. While rowers and canoeists still train and compete on the former 1972 Olympic course next door, things are more leisurely at the quarry lake. Only the north and west banks are open for swimming. The meadow on the southern east bank isn't an official nudist zone, but people still enjoy swimming there. The rest is a biotope.
From the center by car, it takes about half an hour; by public transport or bike, it takes between 45 and 60 minutes.
