The Tiergarten, Berlin's best-known park, is a huge green space in the middle of the city that stretches over 2.5 kilometers from east to west. The centerpiece of Tiergarten is Siegessäule (pinpointed), better know to English speakers as the Victory Column. It is a famous monument topped with a gilded, winged statue that is one of the symbols of Berlin. Just 100 or so meters southwest of this monument is a meadow that locals have informally dubbed "Tuntenwiese," which means "Queen's Meadow." On hot days, and particularly on weekends, this is a hugely popular place for men to sunbathe, and many sunbathers here are nude. It is more or less an all-gay venue.
Although Tuntenwiese is not an official FKK zone, that is no problem in Berlin. This is a very centrally located place to get naked, but it does not abut a body of water.
Note: The Branderburg Gate and the Reichstag (parliament building) are located at the eastern end of the Tiergarten, about 2 kilometers east of the Victory Column.
