Strandbad Grünau is a recreation beach in the far southeast of Berlin, about 21 kilometers southeast of the city center and about 2 kilometers (as the crow flies) from the border with Brandenburg. The beach is situated along the southern and eastern shoreline of a long lake called Langer See, which is part of the river Dahme.

The main part of Strandbad Grünau is a sandy textile beach with a café and other beach amenities. It is served by a direct stop along tram line 68. The designated FKK area associated with Strandbad Grünau is completely disconnected from the main beach.

A paved road called Sportpromenade runs in front of the entry pavilion to Strandbad Grünau, parallel to the tram tracks. Follow this road to the east (to the right when facing the lake). A few hundred meters beyond the entry pavilion, the road becomes off limits to motorized vehicles. Continue about 400-500 meters farther and you'll reach the FKK area, which is secluded from the tram tracks and the road by a band of trees. The FKK area is a grassy lawn with a small, roped-off swimming area, and there are signs announcing "FKK Bereich."

If you keep walking east and south, there are two other tiny beach areas known as "Bammelecke" that you can reach by walking through the trees. Both are pinpointed. The beach that houses the rescue center tends to be textile only. The other one draws nude bathers even though it is not part of a designated FKK area. About 400-500 meters farther along, there is another tram stop at an area called Richtershorn, where there is a restaurant.
