"Naturbadeteich". The picturesque and quiet body of water is very popular as a bathing pond in summer. From the nearby hiking trail, you cannot see the extensive shore zone, which is covered with many small plants. The numerous plants also offer good privacy between the bathers. In the Zankwieser pond, bathing is usually done without clothing, which makes it one of the few remaining nudist waters in the Harz Mountains. This pond is therefore less suitable for families with children. Also note that this former mining pond is not official bathing water. There is also the possibility of fishing at the Zankwieser pond if you have the appropriate license.
