Bergwitzsee is a large recreation lake located in the village of Bergwitz, about 12 kilometers south of Wittenberg. All the main areas are textile, but there is a peninsula covering about 15 acres on the southeastern part of the lake that is designated for FKK use. (Halbinsel, which literally means "half island," is the German word for "peninsula.") The FKK area is undeveloped, forested and rather secluded, all the way across the lake from the campground and main beach.

A fee is charged to park in the large pinpointed lot. The main sandy textile beach is next to this parking lot. (The access road curves to the right at the parking lot, continuing toward the camping and bungalow area.) Facing the lake at the main beach, go to the left on the bicycle path that skirts the lakeshore. After almost 2 kilometers, the path will enter a forested area. Keep following the lakeshore about 300 kilometers farther and you'll reach the access to the FKK peninsula.

The FKK area at Bergwitzee is quite possibly the closest nude beach to the birthplace of the Protestant Reformation. The church where Martin Luther presented his Ninety-Five Theses in 1517 is about 13 kilometers away in Wittenberg.
