Boberger See is a small, undeveloped lake in Hamburg that is located about 12 kilometers southeast of the city center in the borough of Bergedorf. The lake takes its name from the nearby neighborhood of Boberg, but it is actually accessed from the neighborhood of Billwerder, which has the aura of a farm village despite being with the urban limits of Hamburg.

The lake is ringed by trees, but there are small breaks in the trees where there is access to the water. The orange line shows part of the route of a bicycle path that skirts the northeastern shoreline of the lake. This shoreline is textile, and there is a small snack stand along this part of the lake. Along the southern shoreline, there is a large meadow that is a bit off the main beath path. This part of the lake is an informal but popular FKK area. Some nude bathers gather in the open meadow area close to the lakeshore. Behind this meadow, there is a labyrinth of small trails through the trees with various small open spaces, and some nudists sunbathe in these secluded niches. The FKK part of the lake is heavily visited by gay men, but the crowd is not exclusively gay.

If you follow the bicycle path east from the lake, you'll soon reach a geographic anomaly—a small area of inland sand dunes called the Boberger Dunes.

By public transit, you can start at either Billstedt U-bahn station (line U2), at coordinates 53.5424, 10.1067 (Map It), or Mittlerer Landweg S-bahn station (lines S2 and S21), at coordinates 53.4978, 10.1318 (Map It). Each station is an end stop of bus 330. In other words, from either station you can only go one direction on bus 330. From either station, take bus 330 to stop Billwerder Kirche. The bus stop is at St. Nikolai church (Kirche = "church").

Check the schedule closely since the bus runs just once an hour. If you'd rather skip the bus, you can walk all the way from the S-bahn station in 30-40 minutes through a pastoral area, but the walk from the U-bahn station is longer (closer to an hour) and through an industrial area.
