Bottsand is a long, sandy beach in Wendtorf. It is about 20 kilometers northeast of Kiel, which is one of the major cities in the far north of Germany. Most of the beach is along a peninsula, the inland side of which borders a lagoon that is the location of the Wendtorf Marina. The western end of the beach is at the mouth of the lagoon.

Fom the parking lot next to the campgrounds, walk north toward the sea and angle to your left. Within about 10 minutes from the parking lot, you'll reach the start of the FKK area, which extends westward across the peninsular part of the beach.
