Although Strandcamping Wallnau is a textile campground, the pebbly beach adjacent to it is divided into textile and FKK areas. A narrow channel of water that runs parallel to the coastline separates the camping area from the beach. Two footbridges across this channel provide access to the FKK zone.

If you are a day visitor, you can park in the pinpointed lot at the southern end of the campground. Follow the road that runs along the edge of the campground toward the beach and you will reach the southern of the two footbridges. It goes directly to the FKK area. The other footbridge is located about 300 meters to the north, and it leaves from within the camping area. If you cross this bridge, as you face the sea the FKK area will be to your left and the textile area to your right.

Wallnau is located on the western shore of Fehmarn, a large island that is connected to the mainland via a kilometer-long bridge.
