Boltenhagen is a popular resort town, and its sandy beach is about 3 kilometers long. A small segment of the beach is designated as FKK. The nude beach is very centrally located, with textile zones on either side. The pier is a prominent landmark at the most popular part of the textile beach. Facing the sea at the pier, the FKK zone begins 600 meters to your right (east) at beach access 11. The FKK zone extends east almost 300 meters to access 13. Access 12 goes to the middle of the FKK area. There is a large parking area just a few hundred meters away from the FKK zone.

The most likely approach to Boltenhagen is via minor route L3 (Boltenhagenger Strasse) from Klütz. If you start at Exit 6 (Grevesmühlen) of the A20 autobahn, you can follow the L3 north about 21 kilometers to its end at Boltenhagen. The L3 ends at a small roundabout near the beach. At the roundabout, bear right onto Ostseeallee, heading southeast. After 900 meters, you will reach a large parking area on your right, at coordinates 53.9831, 11.2125 (Map It). There is also streetside parking along Ostseeallee. A number of walkways connect Ostseeallee to the beach promenade. From the parking area, the walkway Kranichweg goes toward the middle of the FKK area. If you reach Camping Boltenhagen, you've gone a little past the FKK area and the parking area.
