In the extreme southwest of Germany, the small city of Freiburg im Breisgau is a hub at the southern end of the Black Forest (Schwarzwald) tourist region. There are two lakes toward the western side of the city, both within five kilometers of the city center, where a custom of nude bathing has developed. Nudity is tolerated at both locations even though neither is officially designated as FKK. This placemark pinpoints the FKK area of Dietenbachsee. Dietenbachsee is a small lake in a park called Dietenbachpark. The grassy lakeshore meadow is popular with sunbathers, and part of the meadow is frequented by nudists. From the pinpointed parking lot, keep straight ahead on the broad walking path and you'll skirt the east side of the lake, passing the main textile area. Just after the walking path curves toward the left (following the lakeshore), you'll reach the FKK area near the northeast corner of the lake. There are a few trees that partially screen the FKK area from the walking path.
