Almer Weiher is an undeveloped lake that is hidden in a patch of forest in a rural location about 20 kilometers southeast of Regensburg and approximately halfway between Nürnberg and the Austrian border. The lake, which is roughly rectangular, spans about a kilometer from east to west and 400 meters north to south. Nudity is generally acceptable along the entire lake.

As you walk north along the unpaved road from the parking area, you'll arrive at the eastern shore of the lake, where there is excavating equipment. This part of the lake is mostly open to the water, and it may be mostly textile, mostly nudist or mixed. Once you've waked past the eastern edge of the lake, turn left onto a side trail that goes west along the forested north shore. About halfway across the north shore, there is a peninsula with a secluded meadow that is partially open to the lake but mostly sheltered by trees. The peninsula (where this placemark is pinpointed) is the main FKK area. The total walk from the parking area to the peninsula is about one kilometer.

The east shore and the peninsula are the main gathering places. The rest of the shoreline is forested. There are no amenities or facilities at the lake.
