Grüneburgpark is a large city park that is located a few kilometers directly north of Frankfurt's distinctive skyline of high-rise buildings. Like urban parks in other major German cities, Grüneburgpark has an area that is popular with nude sunbathers. However, this inner-city FKK oasis is not nearly as well-known as are those in the parks of Munich and Berlin. The nude bathing meadow of Grüneburgpark is located at the northern end of the park, north of the gold-domed Greek Orthodox church and just south of the terminus of the A66 autobahn. The FKK area seems to be visited predominantly by gay men.

If you are visiting Frankfurt with limited time for FKK pursuits, the nude meadow of Grüneburgpark is convenient to the city center via a short U-bahn ride followed by a walk of 15 to 20 minutes. If you have more time, consider going to Langener Waldsee to the south of the city (near the airport) for a more proper nude beach experience, complete with a body of water.

Note: Frankfurt, which is Germany's financial capital and a major hub of air travel, is often called "Frankfurt am Main" (Frankfurt on the River Main) to distinguish it from another German town named Frankfurt that is near the Polish border.
