Waldsee Raunheim is a flooded gravel pit located about 25 kilometers southwest of the city center of Frankfurt am Main, a bit west of the city's large airport. The southern part of the lake is developed into a recreation area, where there is a west-facing beach.

Follow the path that continues straight ahead (east) from the parking lot. You'll be walking along the forested southern shoreline. When you reach the corner of the lake where the shoreline bends, turn left. You'll be at the textile beach. Walk north across the textile beach and you'll reach a hedge at the far end. The designated FKK part of the beach is beyond the hedge. The total walk from the parking lot to the FKK area is about 700 meters. The textile area is equipped with showers and a café. There is an entry fee of a few euros per person, plus an additional parking fee of a few euros.

Waldsee Raunheim is comparable to Langerner Waldsee, which is located 10 kilometers directly east as the crow flies (or 20 kilometers by car). The FKK area of Langerner Waldsee draws more visitors and is closer to the city center of Frankfurt.

S-bahn station Raunheim (lines S8 and S9), at coordinates 50.0097, 8.4549 (Map It), is 2.5 kilometers away from the FKK area of Waldsee Raunheim.
