Duhnen is a seaside division of the large town of Cuxhaven. The popular sandy beach of Duhnen extends four kilometers, facing the tidal flats of the North Sea. The east end of the beach is at the wide delta of the river Elbe. At the opposite extreme, the far west end of the beach is designated as FKK.

The 125-meter-long FKK area is easily identifiable by a flag with the letters "FKK" and because the beach chairs are set up in an area that is completely surrounded by a fence made of reeds. The fence provides a small measure of privacy, but it does not completely seal off the FKK area from public view. There is a nice area of sand within the fence, but it is also possible to exit the fenced area while naked to enter the water. Depending on the tide, there may be an expanse of mud flats between the dry beach and the sea.

The above address is in Duhnen, which is a subdivision of Cuxhaven. Duhner Allee is a straight ahead continuation of route K2, which is the road through Stickenbüttel that goes straight to the beach. As Duhner Allee approaches the roundabout where it ends next to the beach, there are parking lots on either side. The closest lot to the beach is at coordinates 53.8853, 8.6471 (Map It).

Just across the roundabout, there is an entrance to the long beach near its central area. Once you are at the beach, the FKK area is 1.3 kilometers to the west. There no need to walk. There is a shuttle that runs up and down the beach promenade. The shuttle is a golf-cart-type transport that resembles a toy train. Make sure you board the shuttle going west, which is to the left as you face the sea. When you reach the point where the shuttle turns around all the way at the end of the promenade, you will have arrived at the FKK beach.
