Kirchhorster See is a small recreation lake located 17 kilometers northeast of the center of Hannover. There is a sandy textile beach along the eastern shore of the lake. Facing the water, turn right and follow the trail that skirts the northern side of the lake. After about 400 meters, you'll reach a small, secluded meadow at the southwestern corner of the lake. This is where nudists gather. There are restrooms and a snack stand in the textile area. Since the lake is located next to the autobahn, there is often traffic noise, especially on the FKK side.

Note: The photos on the stadtgui.de website, linked below, are all of the textile beach. Also, this website incorrectly states that the FKK area is on the eastern shore (Ostufer). It should be the western shore (Westufer).
