Sorpesee is a long lake near Sundern and Arnsberg that is surrounded by a number of camping and vacation establishments. A few of the coves toward the southern end of the lake, along the eastern shore, are frequented by nude bathers. The landmark that is an important starting point for finding the nude area is the bridge over the dam that spans the lake near its southern end. This structure is called Vorstaubeckens (pinpointed). (It should not be confused with the much larger dam that forms the northern end of the lake.) The part of the lake that is on the south side of Vorstaubeckens is surrounded by the development of Amecke, but there is no development in the immediate area to the north of the bridge and dam. From the eastern side of Vorstaubeckens, a broad trail begins and runs north along the eastern shore of the lake. (Google Maps labels it Randweg.) Follow this trail about a kilometer and you'll find the FKK area. Watch closely for "FKK" painted in white on the trees.
