The Berchtesgadener Ache is a river that originates in Germany and flows northward into Austria. Once it crosses the border, the final 5 kilometers of the river is called Königseeache. About 500 meters upstream from the end of Königseeache at its confluence with the river Salzach, there is a gravel island in a wide part of the shallow river. This gravel bar, which has great views of the snow-capped mountains, is a gathering place for nudists. This site is attended mainly by gay men. From the site, it is a walk of just over one kilometer to another FKK site at Waldbad Anif. Königseeache and Waldbad Anif are about 9 kilometers south of the center of Salzburg.
