Werdinsel in an island in the river Limmat, located in the Höngg neighborhood of Zürich (about 6 to 7 kilometers northwest of the city center). The island is fairly small, about 800 meters long and just 175 meters across at its widest, tapering at both ends. Werdinsel is a popular summertime recreation area, and the far northwestern tip is designated as FKK. The triangle shaded in red shows the approximate extent of the FKK area. The FKK area includes a sandbar along the western side of the island. Depending on the water level, this sandbar can become a tiny island of its own, but it is quite easy to cross the intermittent rivulet. The FKK area draws a mostly male and heavily gay crowd, especially toward the far northern tip. There are restrooms and a food concession in the textile area.

Tram (Strassenbahn) stop Winzerstrasse (line 13), at coordinates 47.4037, 8.4864 (Map It), is literally just a few hundred meters from the FKK area, but the walking distance is about a kilometer.
