Orange Beach, also known by the name"Kavourotrypes," was once the best established nude beach of the Chalkidiki region, but it has woefully seen a huge influx of textiles over the past decade or two.

Orange Beach is located on a small bay that spans just a few hundred meters. The orange line indicates the length of the bay. The west side of the bay (i.e., the north side, with respect to the general direction of the coastline) has the largest patch of sand (see the green paddle placemark) along with a small number of chairs and umbrellas. This area is always textile. The central part of the bay has a span of rocks where there is no beach at all. The forested area above these rocks is an informal tenting area. Beyond the rocks, there are several small patches of sand toward the east end of the bay. This is the traditional nude area. The far east side of the bay is formed by a chain of boulders that extends into the sea. (Some of these boulders have been sculpted into works of art, including figures of a nude woman and a mermaid.)

These days, the entire beach is crowded with textiles during July and August. That is not necessarily to say that you can't be naked. It is not out of the question for there to be one nudist for every dozen textiles, but crowds obviously inhibit would-be nudists, and it is also not out of the question that there could be no nudists at all. You are likely to encounter much more nudity during June and September. If you have to visit during July or August, go on a weekday instead of the weekend. You can also explore the areas both to the north and to the south of Orange Beach, where there are a number of isolated niches with nudist possibilities.

Orange Beach is popular for its incredible beauty, and the shallow bay makes for good swimming. Besides the beauty of the beach itself, there are also spectacular views across the water of the high mountain peaks of the easternmost peninsula or the Chalkidiki.
