The broad, sandy beach of Plakias is well over a kilometer long, and nudity is tolerated on the extreme southeast end. The very last grouping of lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach is located in the nude area, which is dramatically situated next to the sheer rock wall of the headland at the end of the beach. Despite the overall size of the beach, don't plan on taking a long naked stroll. Nudity occurs only at the last grouping of umbrellas—a stretch of about 100 meters. The nude part of the beach is within reasonable walking distance of anywhere in Plakias, and it is possible to park within 200 meters. The nude area is often the most crowded part of the beach.
For a totally different nude beach environment, the small sheltered cove of Micro Amoudi is a short drive or long walk (about 3 kilometers) to the east.
