Kedrodasos Beach is far less established as a nude beach than the other beaches listed for Crete. However, it is such a beautiful beach that it warrants a visit even if it is occupied solely by textiles.
Kedrodasos means "cedar forest," and the beach is backed by an extensive area of dunes covered by stunted, twisted trees. Some sources say these are junipers rather than true cedars, but whatever the case they make for an enchanting forest, and you are likely to see a number of tents set up beneath the trees. The beach itself extends about one kilometer, roughly indicated by the orange line. While there is ample sand, it is not a continuous sandy beach. Large rocks divide the beach into a multitude of sandy patches. The shallow turquoise water is great for swimming. The E4 hiking trail passes through the beach.
Nudity is common at Kedrodasos out of peak season—before July and after August. When the beach is overcrowded with textiles, nudity occurs much less frequently. There is not an identifiable nude zone of the beach. Nudists usually scout out sheltered areas near one end of the beach or the other, and nude sunning in the sheltered area of the dunes is also possible.
Even on uncrowded days, nudists are likely to be a minority. In short, this is a mostly textile beach with nudist possibilities, so use a little discretion in the presence of textiles.
