Plaka Beach is the longest beach on Naxos, extending over 3 kilometers. The north end of the beach is just south of Agia Anna and about 5 kilometers south of Naxos town.

Plaka Beach has two zone of nude use, which are roughly delineated by the two red lines.

This placemark is pinpointed at the extreme north end of Plaka Beach, which is defined by a rocky hillside topped by a small white chapel. Nudists congregate at this end of the beach, along a stretch of no more than 150 meters. As you go south, the first beachside establishment you will reach is Paradiso Taverno (pinpointed), which often has tables and chairs directly on the beach under a prominent windswept tree. Nudists should dress before approaching this area, leaving a buffer zone of at least 50 meters.

The northern nude area is often referred to by the name "Agia Anna," but technically Agia Anna is the next beach to the north, beyond the rocks. If you follow the rocks north toward Agia Anna, you'll see a rock with an uncanny resemblance to a shark.

Beginning in the area of Paradiso Taverna, the next 2 kilometers or so of Plaka (extending south) is by custom textile only. This part of the beach is lined with accommodations and tavernas. Beginning a little past Three Brothers Taverna (pinpointed), the beachside establishments thin out and nudity becomes customary. It is best to use a little discretion if you encounter clusters of beach umbrellas (like next to the pinpointed Medusa Resort), but away from such areas nudity is possible all the way to the end of the beach, the far southern part of which is also known as Orkos Beach. Nudists are far more spread out on the south end of the beach than on the north end.
