Vlychada Beach (which has several variant spellings) is located on the southern coast of Santorini. This is a broad, dark-sand beach backed by a dramatic vertical wall of spectacular rock formations. The main access to the beach is at its southeastern end, near a marina. When you enter the beach, walk northwest (to the right when facing the water). Nudity becomes acceptable a few hundred meters beyond the end of the beach umbrellas.

As you walk northwest on the beach, you will see a thatch-roofed taverna ahead in the distance, prominently visible due to the curvature of the shoreline. This taverna opened in 2007 and is accessed via a different road than the road that goes to the marina. While the nude area used to extend to the area now occupied by the taverna, that is no longer the case. Nudists are now confined to a smaller area of the beach, but there is still ample space. It is best not to be naked within a few hundred meters of the taverna.

The nude are of the beach is uncrowded and seems to attract at most a few dozen bare bathers, but nonetheless you'll probably find the biggest concentration of nudists here than anywhere else on Santorini.
