Eftalou Beach is located on the north coast of Lesbos. Standing on this beach and looking across the water, the land you see in front of you is the coast of Turkey, which is less than 10 kilometers away. The span of coastline known as Eftalou Beach is about one kilometer long and consists of multiple pebbly coves. These coves area separated by a number of rocky outcroppings. Depending on the tide, you may have to get your feet a little wet to get from one cove to the next.

The west end of Eftalou is the location of a thermal springs bathhouse, where you can soak for a small fee. (Soaking in the communal tub requires swimwear, but you can soak in the nude if you rent a private tub.) 150 meters east of the bathhouse is Golden Beach Restaurant, which overlooks the beach. This restaurant is the last building you'll encounter going east. The beach in the area of the bathhouse and the restaurant is textile. The nude area is a short distance farther east.

If you access the beach at Golden Beach Restaurant, as you face the sea at the restaurant, walk to your right about 250 meters. Beyond a rocky outcropping, you'll reach the start of the nude area. The nude area extends about 550 meters across several coves to to a headland, which is the most prominent of the rocky cove dividers that you'll encounter. Beyond this headland is a tiny cove that gets no visitors since it is always in the shade, and beyond this cove the beach opens up. The opened-up part of the beach is deserted, visited by neither nudists nor textiles. The red line indicated the length of the nude area. The area toward the east end tends to be all gay.

If you access the beach from the opposite end, a track of about 200 meters (drawn in green) connects the unpaved road to the beach. Turn left on the beach and walk west about 350 meters, beyond the above-referenced headland, to reach the start of the nude area.

Eftalou is the best attended nude beach on Lesbos.
