Tsamadou Beach is an exceptionally beautiful 350-meter-long beach backed by a tree-covered hillside. Standing on the beach and looking across the sea, you can vaguely detect a ridge of mountains on the horizon. That's the coast of Turkey, roughly 30 kilometers away.

Tsamadou is a very popular beach that gets quite crowded in July and August. Most of the length of the beach is textile, except for the far southeast end. The broad, paved access trail takes you downhill to to central part of the beach. Facing the sea, turn to your right and walk for just a few minutes. The nude area begins just past the snack bar and is backed by a steep cliff. A rocky outcropping forms the end of the beach. Even though the nude zone of the beach is less than 100 meters long, this is where you'll find the biggest concentration of bare bathers on Samos. Umbrellas and sunbeds can be rented in the nude area, and there are several tavernas nearby.

At many popular beaches such as this where space is limited, textiles often overtake the nudist zone in July and August. Fortunately, that does not seem to be the case here. Nudists seem to comprise at least half the crowd at the far east end of the beach even during peak season. At less crowded times, the percentage of nudists is much higher.

For a nude beach experience in a more secluded atmosphere, remember than the nude cove of Tsabou Beach is less than three kilometers away. (Yes, this two beaches have frustratingly similar names.)
