Paradise Beach is very beautiful cove with great sand located on the southeastern coast of Thasos, an island in the far northern Aegean Sea that —at its northern end—is less than 10 kilometers from mainland Greece. Thasos is offshore from the far northeastern area of Greece, near the border of the regions of Macedonia and Thrace.
The sandy cove of Paradise Beach extends about 250 meters and backed by a steeply sloping, densely forested hillside. The beach has great views of Kinira Island, a small island just offshore to the northeast of the beach. Paradise is quite popular during the summer. When the beach is crowded, it is textile only on the main beach. On uncrowded pre-July and post-August days, there may be some nudity toward the far northern end of the sandy area (to the left when facing the sea). However, nudity is always acceptable in the rocky area north of the sandy cove. While on the surface this may sound like a case of nudists being relegated to an inferior part of the beach, that is not at all the case here. The area north of the sandy cove is a long ledge of smooth rock with plenty of flat areas for sunbathing, and the swimming here in the shallow turquoise water is especially nice. Even if you visit at an off time when nudity can be practiced on the sandy beach, the rocky part of the beach is still very much worth a visit. You may find that you like it better than the sandy beach anyway.
On crowded days, nudists tend to leave a buffer zone at the start of the rocky area. Walk north past the end of the sand about 100 meters, the nudity can be practiced over the next few hundred meters.
