The beach of Lido di Volano extends north about 2 kilometers beyond the developed area of this resort town, ending at the tip of a peninsula. The naturist group Associazione Naturista Emiliano Romagnola (ANER) has negotiated with local authorities to allow for nude use of the far northern end of the beach. The signposted nudist area begins about one kilometer north of the Cormorano concession area. ANER advises afternoon rather than morning visits due to the presence of fishermen in the area in the mornings.
