Costa dei Barbari is a hidden but popular nude beach located just south of the village of Sistiana and about 20 kilometers northwest of Trieste, which is the principal city of this region of Italy. The beach, which is a narrow strand of pebbles, draws a mixed crowd of nudists and textiles. Located at the base of a very steep tree-covered hillside, the setting is spectacular.
