Lac St-Jean, one of the largest lakes in Québec, is a popular resort and recreation area that is several hours north of Québec's southern population zone. Pointe Taillon National Park is located along the northeastern part of the lake, and there is a stretch of beach west of the main (textile) beach in the park that is the customary gathering place for nudists. Apparently, a naturist group has made arrangements with local recreation officials to permit nudity on the beach. The long, sandy beach is backed by evergreen trees. Restrooms, a snack bar and other amenities are located near the beach parking lot.

The nude area is reached by walking west about 15-20 minutes from the beach parking lot, either along the beach or along the bicycle path that parallels the shoreline.
