Mari Pintau means "painted sea" in the traditional language of Sardinia. This beach is noted for its beautiful turquoise water. Spiaggia di Mari Pintau is the next beach to the northwest of the long beach of Geremeas. These two beaches are separated by a headland.
The southeast end of Mari Pintau near the headland is a 250-meter-long crescent of sand and pebbles. This part of the beach is textile. Going northwest (to the right when facing the water) beyond the crescent, the beach becomes a narrow bank of rocky shoreline that extends about 600 meters farther and draws far few visitors. As you go toward the far end of this rocky stretch, you are likely to encounter nudity.
