Sutomore is a small coastal town located toward the southern end of Montenegro's coastline, about 50 kilometers from Albania. In summer, the town's one-kilometer-long sandy textile beach is packed with tourists. About a kilometer past the end of the main beach, there is a designated nude beach. The nude beach occupies a rocky stretch of coastline along a small peninsula called Rt Ratac (rt = "cape"), where the ruins of a fortress are located. The nude beach area spans about 400-500 meters in total and has two main gathering places. One is a small cove that faces west. The other is a small cove that faces south. Both coves are accessed from paths down the hillside, and the area between the coves is especially rugged.

The nude beach is easy to find. Starting in the central part of Sutomore, head south (toward Albania) on the main road through town (numbered E851). At some point in town the road will begin to run alongside a railway. On the south end of town, the road and the railway will go past Sutomore's main beach (shaded in green), which is about a kilometer long and lined with development. Toward the end of the main beach, the road and the railway both make a long curve to the right. After this long curve, continue about 700 meters and watch for a railway tunnel up ahead. When the railway disappears into the tunnel, you are getting very close to the nude beach. Watch for a large sign on the right that reads "Ratac Rekreativni Park, FKK Plaža." The sign marks the start of one access trail to the nude beach, and there are informal pull-in parking spaces starting near the sign. If you continue around a sharp curve and reach the point where the railway emerges from the other end of the tunnel, you've gone past the nude beach.
