Playa de la Boadella is one of several beaches in Lloret de Mar, a popular Costa Brava resort town between Gerona and Barcelona. Boadella stretches for 250 meters just below the Gardens of Santa Clotilde, a popular tourist attraction. The beach has signs indicating that it is clothing optional and also has showers and a vendor that sells drinks and ice cream.

On days when attendance is light, nudists tend to be a majority and spread out over the entire beach. When the beach is packed, nudity is still acceptable, but textiles are in the majority and nudists tend to gravitate toward each end of the beach. There are tiny coves beyond the rocks that on either end of the beach that are especially popular with nudists on those days when the main beach is overrun with textiles.
