Playa de la Murtra is a stretch of beach that lies about halfway between Sant Pol de Mar and Canet de Mar, next to the coastal highway but protected from view of auto traffic. Nudists gather toward both ends of the beach.

There are two pedestrian tunnels (both pinpointed) under the coastal highway that provide access to the beach. Both tunnels lead to the broadest part of the beach, which is a sandy expanse of about 400-500 meters. This part of the beach is textile.

If you go a few hundred meters to the east (left when facing the water), you'll reach a narrower part of the beach, where this placemark is pinpointed. Nudists gather in various small coves that are formed by the small rock outcroppings. This part of the beach mostly disappears at high tide.

If you go west (right when facing the water) instead of east, you'll see a small vegetation-covered hill at the far end of the textile beach. The railway is tunneled through this hill. The areas at the base of and immediately beyond the hill are also common gathering places for nudists. If you keep going past the hill, the beach becomes textile as you get closer to the pinpointed beach café.

Playa de la Murtra is alternately known by the names Refugi and El Moli.
