The ominously named Playa del Muerto, which means "Beach of the Dead," is actually the collective name of two side-by-side pebbly coves, both of which are designated for nudity. These coves are located a few kilometers south and west of central Sitges.

The first cove that you reach along your hike (i.e., the eastern cove, pinpointed by this placemark) draws a mixed and mostly nude crowd. The smaller western cove is a very popular gay nude beach.

Be sure to bring water for the hike. There is sometimes a vendor who sells refreshments on the two beaches, but don't count on this amenity.

Although these coves are usually collectively called "Muerto," some sources name the coves separately: the eastern cove as "Playa de l'Home Mort" and the western as "Playa de la Desenrocada," and "Home Mort" is also frequently used as a collective term for both.
