Directly south of Mazarrón, there is rugged and beautiful stretch of coast where the mountains meet the sea, and there are many coves (calas) in this area. West of Bolnuevo (an urbanizacion of Mazarrón), a 3-kilometer stretch of the coast includes eight coves.

The two coves closest to Bolnuevo—Piedra Mala and Rincón—tend to be textile only even though some sources list them as nudist. The other six coves draw a high percentage of nudists.

Playa de la Cueva de los Lobos (where this placemark is pinpointed) is the third of the eight coves, going east to west. It tends to have the most visitors of the nudist coves.

You can easily explore all the nudist coves, by car or on foot. Parking at each cove is immediately beside the beach, and the hiking distance from the easternmost nudist cove (Cueva de los Lobos) to the westernmost (Barranco Ancho) is about 2 kilometers.
