Jarun Lake (called Jarunsko Jezero in Croatian) is a large, popular, man-made recreation lake located about 7 kilometers southwest of the city center of Zagreb. It lies just north of the river Sava. The road that encircles the lake (see the blue line) makes a loop of about 6 kilometers. Jarun includes multiple textile beaches (shaded in green). The far east end of the long beach on the south shore of the lake is designated for nude use. The nude beach is just 100 meters long and shielded by hedges. There are no amenities within the nude area, but there are many restrooms and eateries all around the lake.
The nude beach at Jarun Lake is the only documented nude beach in the interior of Croatia, and it is quite different from the country's many idyllic Adriatic locales. The Jarun nude beach in quite similar in character to the interior FKK locations found throughout German-speaking Europe.
All the streets leading to Jarun Lake intersect the ring road on the north side of the lake. When you hit the ring road, you can turn either right or left and follow the road about 2.5 to 3 kilometers and park along the south shore of the lake. There are parallel parking spaces all along the road. For the shortest walk to the nude beach, park near the broad path that intersects the ring road about halfway between the Multisensory Garden (Višeosjetilni Park) and the softball fields (both shaded in orange). From there, it is about 400 meters to the nude beach, which is marked by a "Plaža za Nudiste" sign.
The two closest tram stops are pinpointed. From either, it is a walk of about 2.5 kilometers to the nude beach, around the western end of the lake.
