This 1.2-kilometer-long beach includes the prominent Artola sand dunes as well as the Cabopino marina just east of the dunes. Thus, the beach is known both by the name Playa de Artola and Playa de Cabopina.

The part of the beach around the marina is textile, but you'll encounter more nudity farther west on the middle area of the beach. Artola is especially popular with gay men. There is a beach bar toward the western end of the beach, and this bar marks the end of the nude area. There are other bars and amenities at the eastern textile part of the beach at the marina.

This beach is located about halfway between Marbella and Fuengirola, roughly 15 kilometers from each town.
