Playa Flecha de Nueva Umbría is a 10-kilometer long segment of beach located on the ocean side of the peninsula that is formed by the Piedras river. The peninsula ends at the river mouth. The pinpointed parking area is toward the western side of the peninsula. From there, a boardwalk goes over the dunes to the beach. At the end of the walk, a "Playa Nudista" sign points left (east). A short walk talks you to the start of the nude area.
If you keep walking far enough, you'll reach a short segment of the beach called El Rompido (pinpointed), which takes its name from the town of the other side of the river. El Rompido is about 2.5 kilometers east of the parking area, and there are umbrellas and chairs. The immediate area of the beach umbrellas is likely to be all textile, and almost all visitors there arrive by taking a ferry across the river from El Rompido town then taking the boardwalk across the peninsula. If you keep walking past El Rompido, nudity is again possible all the way to the end of the the peninsula, which is another 7 kilometers past El Rompido. However, most nudists stay in the area between the parking lot and El Rompido. The area between El Rompido and the river mouth is likely to be deserted or nearly so
Although the signed nude area is to the east of the parking area, nudity also occurs west of the parking area as well. If you walk 2 kilometers west of the parking area, you will reach the beach of the seaside town of La Antilla, which is textile. Nudity is common on the remote part of the beach between the parking area and the eastern end of la Antilla.
