This 300-meter-long beach is virtually all nude. There is sometimes nudity on the east end of neighboring Playa de Barrañán as well, which is separated from Combouzas by a rock outcropping. Except during high tide, it is possible to walk from one beach to the other.

This is the most popular nude beach in the immediately vicinity of A Coruña, which is the capital city of the province of the same name. The beach is about 19 kilometers southwest of the city center.
