The 4-kilometer-long beach that extends east from the mouth of the river Nalón in La Arena is segmented into three areas: Los Quebrantos is the urban beach at La Arena; Playón de Bayas spans nearly 3 kilometers; and Requexinos is the easternmost 170 meters, defined by a small headland which does not disconnect Requexinos from the rest of the beach.

Playa de Requexinos, which is basically just the far east end of Playa de Playón de Bayas, is a popular nude beach.

If you stroll west from the nude beach about 600 meters, you'll reach the part of Playón de Bayas that is next to its parking lot (see the green paddle placemark), and there will be a crowd of textiles here. If you keep walking west, the crowd thins out, and you'll be on a stretch of 2 kilometers where there are no roads. Nudity is generally acceptable in this area as well.
