Playa de Valdearenas is a very popular beach with extensive dunes within Liencres Dunes Natural Park (Parque Natural de las Dunas de Liencres). The beach is 2.8 kilometers long, extending southwest to the broad mouth of the river Pas. The western third of the beach is a huge swath of sand with the ocean on one side and the river on the other.

The most crowded part of Valdearenas is toward the eastern end near the parking lot, and this area is all textile. As you walk west, you'll begin to encounter nudists on the central part of the beach. Nudity is also quite common in the dunes.
