Playa de Zarautz is the 2.5-kilometer-long town beach of Zarautz. The western two-thirds of the beach abuts urban development, while the eastern third of the beach abuts a golf course. Nudity is tolerated on the far eastern end. However, the beach lacks seclusion and is overrun with textiles much of the time. Nudists seem to always be a minority—a small minority on peak days.

The eastern end of the beach is defined by the mouth of a stream and a prominent headland. You can cross a footbridge over the stream (pinpointed) and hike uphill over the headland to reach a tiny, hidden cove. Nudity is also common at this cove and on the surrounding rocks.
